Laptop Information
Minnesota bar examinees may use laptops during the MPT and MEE portions of the bar exam. If you plan to use your laptop, see the instructions and registration form below.
February 2027 Exam
The download period is January 6 – January 27, 2027. You will receive an email in advance with your login information and instructions. Please visit https://mn.ilgexam360.com/home.action for information on laptop system requirements.
July 2027 Exam
Minnesota will be administering the NextGen UBE beginning in July 2027. Please be aware that laptop registration for NextGen will occur through NCBE. Registration for the July 2027 examination will open December 3, 2027. If you start, or have started, your Minnesota online bar application before that date, please answer “No” to question 6.01 which asks if you intend to use your laptop. If you answer “Yes,” the system will automatically charge you $100. The NextGen UBE is a fully online exam which will require registration of your laptop through NCBE.
